Skills have become a strategic infrastructure for business, education and the labour market. Yet common foundations are still lacking for understanding, comparing and digitally using skills, qualifications, learning outcomes and professional experience across organisations.

Those who help shape the landscape today can influence how skills data will be described, recognised, connected and exchanged between different systems in the future.

At the Constituent Forum of the Open Skills Consortium, companies, education providers, universities, chambers, recognition bodies, professional associations, labour market institutions, public-sector organisations and technology providers will come together around one table.

Together, we aim to establish the foundation for an open, trusted, global and machine-readable language for skills and qualifications.

The Technical Foundation

SupraGraph makes relationships between skills, occupations, qualifications, learning opportunities, digital credentials and labour market needs available in a structured and machine-readable form through a knowledge graph.

The technological foundation has been developed through more than ten years of research and product development. Using modern AI technologies, SupraGraph currently makes use of a database of more than 458 TB. Its underlying models and methodologies are professionally validated with the involvement of an interdisciplinary competency advisory board.

This enables standards developed within the Open Skills Consortium to be prototyped at an early stage, made available through open interfaces, and tested and further developed together with pilot partners under real-world conditions.
